INVITING CHILDREN TO “PEACE” THE WORLD TOGETHER

Madison, Missouri - 2009-04-14 - Childsafe Foundation is promoting its first annual nation wide Peace Poster Contest for children ages 10 – 15. Children are invited to artistically create their vision of world peace by making a peace poster that embraces this year's theme “Creating World Peace”. The Peace Poster contest is being held in April to raise awareness for International Land Mine Awareness and Earth Day.

One winner will be selected from all eligible entries and awarded a cash prize of $250. The contest deadline is April 24. Parents are encouraged to engage their children in this event to help foster in them an awareness of the importance of global peace. Information and Poster submission guidelines can be downloaded from the Childsafe web site, www.childsafefoundation-usa.org.

Through this contest we hope to raise awareness among children of the importance of peace in their daily lives, and encourage them to be active participants in peace. We believe that instilling respect and awareness for peace at an early age will help lessen future wars and the atrocities that befall innocent children around the world.

Childsafe foundation is a humanitarian organization that is known for its Foundations for Life limb replacement program that provide children victims of land mines, cluster minds, and other uxo’s with everything from pain medications to prosthetic limbs and orthopedic training.

Childsafe with their Peace and Understanding program makes available to schools free peace programs that help teach children of all ages the value of active peace.
